Between Now and Always – A Testament to Life

Our first meeting was in October 2017, and since March 2018 our paths have crossed again and again – always with the camera as a silent witness. Twenty-three encounters have become thousands of photographs, traces of time and presence, moments where everything seemed to pause and breathe.

Through conversation and silence, laughter and gravity, something grew that was greater than the photographs themselves – insights, friendship, and the courage to see one another as we are. Despite, or perhaps because of, our differences, we found a space where giving and reflection could happen freely.

When Amanda was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, our meetings grew even more vital, filled with honesty and presence. Allowing the difficult and the beautiful to coexist has reminded us that life is always larger than its darkest moments. Together we’ve continued to explore the beauty of imperfection, discovering how the unfinished and the real reveal deeper truths and a stronger sense of life.

Each photograph carries the exact second it was taken – a quiet testimony: here it happened, here we lived.
This work is more than photography; it is a tapestry of friendship, trust, stillness, and conversation. A journey through light and shadow, filled with gratitude for the chance to share, to receive, and to grow together.
